How to play Word Search
Word Search gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Find every listed word in a 10×10 grid. Use the example below to understand a decision. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Each board contains eight target words from the included English word list.
Keep the aim in sight
Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Notice the feedback after each input.
Your goal
Find every listed word in a 10×10 grid. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Try to explain the aim in your own words.
Step by step
- Select the first and last letter of a straight word.
- Words can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally, in either direction.
- Find all eight targets.
- New puzzle shuffles again.
